Music education has been proven to improve academic performance, build discipline, and give kids a creative outlet that follows them through life. But school budgets are shrinking, and music programs are often the first to feel the cuts.
In rural Iowa, many students have never held a guitar, never had access to a private lesson, and never had anyone hand them an instrument and say this is yours. Broken Strings exists to change that.
When a kid gets a guitar, something shifts. They have something to practice, something to be proud of, something that is entirely their own. That is worth every dollar.
